Bridging The Gap Committee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Experience suggests that even though a soon-to-be released alcoholic may have been participating in an A.A. group or meeting inside a treatment setting, there is often anxiety about the transition to an A.A. group on the outside. Bridging the Gap volunteers provide a temporary contact to help ease newly-discharged members’ transition to outside A.A and help to get them started on the road to sobriety in their home community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each district responds to the needs of the members being discharged within their boundaries. The districts cooperate with each other to accommodate requests outside of their boundaries — and outside the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
